we are HomeQ. Sweden's largest marketplace for first hand residential rentals.
We are providing tenants and landlords with the means to come together and find their next home or tenant.

We are working with a modern front end stack including functional ReactJS, SCSS  and an awesome backend stack mostly revolving around python/django, postgresql, elastic search stack and AWS. 

We strive to be modern! This is not just a statement that we throw out there - we continuously address technical debt to keep our platform competitive for years to come. Of course we try not to even incur the technical debt in the first place - however that is not always possible. What is possible - is to work in an great team with a methodology that probably is new to you.

We don't work in SCRUM, we don't work in Kanban. If you now feel like reading on is a waste of your time as a modern engineer - well - we rather like people who are open to new ideas anyway ;)

You seem to have the right stuff - so let me introduce you to our methodology. ShapeUp. We have small self sufficient teams consisting of a backend engineer, frontend engineer and UX designer which are working autonomously on a work item that we call a pitch. The pitch specifies the problem and outlines a solution but a lot of freedom is given to the build team when they implement, test and ship the work item in the usual 2 or 6 weeks intervals.

We are currently looking for someone who has experience in python, django in the context of web development. As mentioned before we are using django as our main workhorse. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, elastic, AWS and other technologies in the web sphere is always a plus. If you have a university degree in computer science - even better.

The main responsibility that comes as a part of a build team is also to make clean coding and architectural decisions during the cycle. We therefore need to have people who have a good eye for the details and some foresight on how there decisions might define future engineering opportunities.
